Carve a traditional Sri Lankan mask with the help of a local craftsman from Ambalangoda, a town on the south coast celebrated for its arts and crafts. The experience is hosted at a local temple in the Galle Fort and provides insight into the cultural use of masks in Sri Lanka and the traditional methods of mask carving that has existed for decades. This is very much a hands-on experience that could also be paired with mask painting using natural colours sourced from clay and other earthy materials.
