St Martin Deep Sea Fishing

The St. Maarten ¾-Day or Full-Day Fishing Charter is an offshore adventure designed for serious anglers. This experience offers either a 7.5-hour or 9.5-hour trip, departing from the marina in Cole Bay. Thanks to Sint Maarten’s diverse ocean geography, a wide variety of fishing styles can be enjoyed, from deep and shallow water to surface and bottom fishing.

Just offshore, several productive shoals and wrecks provide excellent opportunities for targeting smaller reef species. Approximately three miles offshore, deep waters open up for pursuing larger pelagic species through trolling or drift fishing. The offshore charter accesses multiple productive fishing grounds located between 10 and 20 miles off the coast of Sint Maarten.

You catch it, you keep it. Guests may keep as much of the catch as can be responsibly used. The crew is happy to clean and prepare the catch at the end of the day.

All necessary fishing gear is provided, though guests are welcome to bring their own equipment if preferred. It’s also recommended to bring a towel and swimwear, as stops for a refreshing swim at a beautiful beach are often included before returning to port.

The Boat

The Blu Bi U is a 38-foot motor catamaran powered by twin Mercury 150hp outboards, accommodating 1 to 8 anglers in comfort and style. With a range of over 200 miles, this twin-hull vessel offers excellent stability and a smooth ride in all but the roughest conditions. A wide beam of approximately 14 feet, side-mounted outriggers, and strategically placed rod holders allow up to four lines to be run simultaneously while trolling, maximizing chances for a catch. There is also ample space on deck for bottom or drift fishing, making it easy to spread out and avoid fouling lines when the action heats up.

At the helm, Blu Bi U is equipped with modern electronics to ensure comfort and safety, including a Simrad GPS and fishfinder connected to a Maretron GPS antenna and an Airmar 1KW transducer, allowing bottom features to be viewed at depths of up to 3,000 feet. A state-of-the-art music and entertainment system is also onboard to keep the atmosphere lively between fishing action, with the option to play personal playlists.

Your St Maarten Fishing Charter

The St. Maarten Deep Sea Fishing Charter is available any day of the week, subject to weather and availability. Departures typically take place from the marina in Cole Bay, though alternative departure points can be arranged. The scheduled departure time is 8:00 am, with returns to the marina around 3:30 pm or 5:30 pm, depending on the charter duration.

Each charter includes a fully stocked open bar with local beers, water, sodas.. Lunch can be provided upon request, with special dietary requirements accommodated when possible. Guests may also choose to end the day with a swim or snorkeling session before returning to port.

Please note that even though we can take 8 guests the maximum number of lines we can legally have in the water at any one time is 4.
