With unprecedented views of the ocean from the pool and upper floors, Villa Oceana in Barbados is a wonderful find. With a setting in the gated community of Sugar Hill and its full staff, it is a resort-like destination on its own. The Sugar Hill community provides all visitors with membership to the private club, which includes the use of a community pool, tennis courts, gym and a restaurant. It also ensures guests have total beach access through membership of the Royal Pavilion Hotel Beach Club, along with all of the privileges that provide.
Though that represents a remarkable amount of premium service and activities, the villa itself is replete with features that make it an appealing place to spend the vast majority of a holiday to the island. Wrapped in its own private gardens that include bananas and palms, this villa is a little sanctuary. Comprised of the main house and smaller cottage, it has four bedrooms each situated for optimal privacy.
The shared living spaces include an elegant swimming pool framed by a stone terrace and dotted with al fresco dining tables, sunbeds, and more. Adjacent to that is the verandah, which includes an open-air living room, al fresco dining room and bar. Indoors, the formal living is adjacent to the full kitchen, though, with a cook on staff, you may not spend even a moment in its richly appointed space.
The four bedrooms are also the utmost of luxury and include a ground floor master bedroom that features a super king bed and premium en suite bathroom with a corner tub. Two more bedrooms are on the second floor and also feature enormous terraces furnished for comfort. The final bedroom is in an adjoining cottage, and all of them feature en suite bathrooms.

While available for advanced requests, the concierge team connects with guests 30 days prior to arrival to coordinate arrivals and to reserve desired services and experiences. Guests with scheduled Christmas/New Year stays will be contacted 90 days prior to arrival.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.
Please be advised that construction of the padel courts will begin on Monday, July 21st, 2025, in the area south of the playground and east of Court 1.
The construction team will use the far end of the car park, and excavation equipment will access the site via the north end of the tennis courts.
While a significant portion of the construction is being carried out off-site, excavation works on-site will generate some noise and debris.
Working hours will be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with equipment use starting at 9:00 AM.
The project is being managed by CIS Contracting, a professional team, and we expect minimal disruption to regular activities.
Construction of the base is expected to last 8 to 10 weeks, depending on weather conditions.
The padel courts themselves have already been ordered; however, manufacturing and shipping will take approximately 2 to 3 months. If all goes according to plan, the courts will be fully assembled and operational by the end of November.
